Suspension of internet services in Assam extended for 24 hours

The Internet services in Assam which were to remain suspended till today morning, have been extended for an additional 24 hours, in 10 districts. The services were suspended in the midst of the protest in the state against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019. As per media reports, the internet in these districts is currently expected to start from Tuesday. The Internet services have also been suspended in sone regions of Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam, and West Bengal. Src: https://bit.ly/2LZ4ZQs

Several universities students in India protest against the violence on Jamia, AMU students

After yesterday’s violent protest and police action on the Delhi’s Jamia Millia University and UP’s Aligarh Muslim University, several students of various campuses including in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Lucknow, Madras and Varanasi, Kolkata have come out in solidarity with Jamia and AMU students. Prestige Universities like IIT Madras, IIM Bengaluru & Ahmedabad, Indian Institution of science and various institutions are marching to protest against the violent behavior of police on students. ISRO shares a video of 'RISAT-2BR1's Radial Rib Antenna deployment

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has shared a video of the successful deployment of the Radial Rib Antenna of 'RISAT-2BR1' in its assigned orbit in the space. Earlier on December 11, ISRO had successfully launched the radar imaging earth observation satellite 'RISAT-2BR1' and nine commercial satellites by PSLV C-48 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh. The radar imaging satellite weights about 628 kg along with all nine customer satellites. The commencement for the dispatch of the PSLV C-48 mission started at 16:40 hours (IST) on Tuesday. Lucknow students protested against CAA; stones, bricks and slipper thrown on police

Hundreds of students of the Nadwa university in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow were protesting against the Citizenship Law. The violence occurred between police and students of the university during the protest. The police are trying to control students and have asked students to remain behind the gates of the university.
