Delhi: Traffic police to withdraw 1.5 lakh e-challans for over-speeding

Delhi Traffic Police have decided to withdraw about 1.5 lakh challans issued to those who have been found over-speeding on National Highway 24 between August and October 10. A senior police officer stated that the reason behind the withdrawal of these challans was that the Public Work Department (PWD) had put up a signboard of a speed limit of 70 mph on the national highway and after receiving a lot of complaints, the department decided to take back the challans. As per media reports, there is no confirmation on what will happen to the amount that has been taken as a fine. Src: https://bit.ly/2OOFhAn
