Facebook’s iOS app secretly opens the camera of the phone without user’s permission

Facebook’s social media site has been accused of breaching the security and privacy of the users many times in the past but a new incident which was revealed by an Iphone user named Joshua Maddux tweeted a video through his Twitter handle alleging Facebook app available on the iOS platform for secretly opening the camera of the phone while he scrolled into his FB feed. Facebook removes 11.6 million posts related to child nudity and sexual abuse

Facebook in Community Guideline Enforcement Report has claimed that the company has removed around 11.6 million posts which held content showing child nudity and child sexual abuse from the main Facebook platform and around 754,000 from the its subsidiary Instagram’s platform. Facebook also mentioned in the report that it took action against the harmful content which encourages self-harm or suicide, drug sales, arms sales and terrorism propaganda. Facebook apologizes to its 12 employees after being alleged for discrimination

Facebook apologized to its 12 unidentified employees who took to an online platform through a post named ‘FB Blind’ alleging the company and its senior officials on the grounds of discrimination against employees who belonged to a certain race. The anonymous employees through the post said discrimination is not just against ‘black’ people but against those also, who belong to Asian, Hispanic or Latin communities. Facebook to take measures to prevent information abuse before 2020 US elections

Facebook is going to take a number of measures to prevent any foreign intervention and misinformation before the 2020 presidential elections in the US. The online media giant said that it will come up with a verification process for the elected individuals and the pages belonging to political parties to stop abuse on the platform.
