European Union Parliament calls on India, Pak to engage in direct dialogue on Kashmir

The European Union Parliament has called on India and Pakistan to engage in direct dialogue on Kashmir to ensure a peaceful resolution to the issue. This comes after China stated that the Kashmir issue will not be a major topic of discussion during the planned 2nd informal summit between PM Modi and President Xi Jinping despite a high powered campaign by Pakistan after India abrogated Article 370. As per media reports, India's move on Kashmir has been supported by many countries. UAE Foreign Minister Sheik Abdullah Bin Zayed Sultan Al Nahyan stated, "Kashmir issue doesn't concern the Muslim Ummah community". He further urged both the countries to resolve their issues through bilateral dialogues. Src: https://bit.ly/2krMABg
