Kolkata couple rides 36,000 km on bike for raising awareness on tigers

Recently a couple identified as Rathin Das and his wife Gitanjali, residents of Salt Lake, Kolkata has traveled as much as 36,000 km on their bike and covered 50 tiger reserves in the country to spread awareness about the conservation of the tigers. As per the media reports, the duo began their journey on February 15 and visited 29 states. The 50 tiger reserves, which the duo visited during the journey, included Sunderbans, Buxa, Kaziranga, Pilibhit, Nagarjuanasagar, Dudhowa, Ranthambore and Bandipur. Src: https://bit.ly/36hfdn4

Statue of Unity bags highest footfall with an average of 15,036 visits daily

The tallest statue of the world the Statue of Unity has surpassed the footfall i.e. the number of visits at the Statue of Liberty in just one year of its unveiling. With an average of 15036 daily visits, the statue situated near the Sardar Sarovar Dam in Gujarat beat the 133-years old Statue of Liberty in terms of daily visits. Sandesh Meshram begins 7,500 km cycle rally to garner support for ‘Freedom of Tibet’

Sandesh Meshram, who already started his voyage from Himachal Pradesh's Dharamshala on December 1, is all set to cycle 7,500 kilometers across the nation to gather support and create awareness for 'Freedom of Tibet'. Meshram will ride on his cycle with 'Free Tibet, Save India' written over it and will conclude his awareness trip in Karnataka's Mungod district on March 10, 2020, on Tibetian National Uprising Day.
