Three family members arrested over minor girl's murder in Uttar Pradesh

In Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh district, three family members have been arrested in connection with the alleged honour killing of a 16-year-old girl in Atrauli. As per the police, the minor went missing on December 3 from Kaisthana Alampur village. A senior police officer, during the investigation, found that the parents of the minor killed her as she was having an affair. Indian Army fires Excalibur precision-guided ammunition from M-777 howitzers in Pokhran

In Rajasthan's Pokhran, the Indian Army has fired Excalibur precision-guided ammunition from M-777 artillery howitzer. The Excalibur can infiltrate 8-10 inches thick concrete bunkers and walls and will lessen the odds of collateral damage when used against the enemy. The range of the Excalibur ammunition is somewhere in the range of 35 and 40 km. J&K: Skill development centre opened for specially-abled persons

In Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, a Skill Development Centre for specially-abled people has been inaugurated to enhance employment opportunities among persons with disabilities. District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz expressed that the motive is to train the differently-abled people and to get their placements so that they are not seen as a burden but as active bread earners. Abhishek Verma, Vennam Jyothi wins mixed pair gold in Asian Archery Championship

Archer Vennam Jyothi Surekha from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Arjuna awardee Abhishek Verma from Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada district have won compound mixed pair gold in the 21st Asian Archery Championship in Bangkok. The duo won gold against their Chinese Taipei rivals YiHsuan Chen and Chieh-Luh Chen with 158-151. Earlier in the day, the team lost a gold medal with just one point to Korea 232-233 and won a silver medal. But Verma and Jyothi returned strongly in the compound mixed pair final.
