35-yr-old woman poured petrol on herself to scare boyfriend, he set her on fire in Nashik

In the Nashik district of Maharashtra, a 25-year-old man identified as Rameshwar Bhagwat allegedly set a 35-year-old woman on fire. Both were in a relationship and Bhagwat got engaged to someone else. The incident took place when both met at the bus stand where Bhagwat came with 2 other men. The duo had an argument where the woman poured petrol on herself to make the accused confessed. However, Bhagwat was carrying a matchbox and set her on fire. Convict Pawan Gupta asked for lesser prison term, as he was minor during crime committed

Recently one of the four death row convicts in the Nirbhaya case, Pawan Gupta, has filed a petition in the SC against last year's Delhi High Court order in which he has claimed that he was a juvenile at the time of the crime occurred. Convict Pawan Gupta had claimed because he was a minor, "an innocent boy" at the time of the crime, he should be punished under laws for juveniles, which eventually means a lesser prison term. Woman with bullet in her head drove for 7km in Punjab

Recently, a 42-year-old woman identified as Sumeet Kaur drove seven kilometres with a bullet injury to reach out to a police station in Punjab to register a complaint against her brother and nephew in a land grab case. The victim informed that her minor nephew, in a fit of rage allegedly shot at her as well her mother Sukhbinder Kaur over the land dispute. The victim has informed that after the death of her father, she and her mother received 16 acres of land in a will. Which her brother has been waiting to grab by removing both of them.
