"Tamil Most Suited": Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) On Amit Shah's Hindi saga

Recently Union Minister, Amit Shah had shown his concerns regarding Hindi to make India's identity. Over this matter, DMK MP and spokesperson T.K.S. Elangovan said if the government of India wants to choose an Indian language for global identity, then Tamil, and not Hindi, qualify for it. Taking it further he mentioned "Tamil is one of the oldest languages in the world. It is the official language in Sri Lanka, Singapore and India. It has the classical language status and is rich in literature. Tamil culture has spread to several South Asian countries." Do you agree with Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam's views?
