Make maximum use of video conferencing: Delhi HC to District Courts over COVID-19

The Delhi High Court (HC) Chief Justice and other judges held an urgent meeting in view of the Coronavirus outbreak across the country and issued an advisory to all district courts in the national capital. The HC directed the district courts to allow maximum use of video conferencing, and instead of their physical presence, the accused can be generated through video conferencing. The advisory also recommended to the district courts that a thermal scanner should be procured as soon as possible, handlers should be qualified and used at the current checkpoints. COVID-19: Delhi HC issues advisory to avoid gathering in the premises

Delhi High Court (HC) issued a public advisory stating that one ought to avoid going into crowded places. Consequently, advocates, the general public and litigants are requested to stick to the guidelines/advisory issued by the Delhi NCT Govt and to prevent excessive overcrowding in crowd premises. In the advisory, the HC also requested that the Delhi Bar Association place the circular on the notice board as well as carry its contents to their members' attention for necessary action. Delhi HC to hear plea seeking registration of FIR against BJP leaders for hate speech

The Delhi High Court (HC) today will hear a plea seeking FIR registration against BJP leaders Kapil Mishra, Anurag Thakur, and Parvesh Verma for alleged hate speeches. Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice C Harishankar will hold the hearing before the bench. Delhi HC orders to file FIR against 4 BJP leaders over hate speech

Today, the Delhi High Court has ordered Delhi Police to the filed FIR against 4 BJP leaders- Kapil Mishra, Anurag Thakur, Abhay Verma, and Parvesh Verma. The two-member bench ordered to registered after watching the hate speech of them. The top court said all videos concerning the riot matter and the Commissioner should have considered the consequences of not registering the FIR. No one is above the Rule of Law, the court added.
