Grofers breaks gender stereotypes by hiring women for warehousing jobs

Indian Online Grocery start-up has broken gender stereotypes by bringing in women to work at its warehouses as well as for delivery and has claimed to have grown by 800% in the last 2 years. The grocery start-up has 40% of female employees in its team. Warehousing traditionally is considered as a job for men while Grofers carries out tasks like inventory put away, inventory audit, order picking, and billing, return processing, etc. through its strong female workforce. It has over 500 female employees in the warehouses of Bangaluru, Gurgaon, and Kolkata.

Union IB Ministry issues ‘code of conduct’ for TV broadcasters over Ayodhya Verdict

The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued an advisory for the television channels and cable TV operators to maintain a code of conduct while broadcasting the television programs, debates and talk shows regarding the Ayodhya verdict. The code says that the TV channels should refrain from showing anything which attacks the religious beliefs of any community and should not contain anything defamatory or showing anti-national attitude. Neha Bhasin calls Anu Malik a sexual 'predator'

After Singer Sona Mohapatra called out Anu Malik on Twitter for getting his seat back as the judge of a singing reality show after the #MeToo movement, Singer Neha Bhasin retweeted on the string of Sona's tweets and talked about how she too felt uncomfortable in the past during a meeting with the Singer Anu Malik when she was just 21. According to a report by NITI Aayog: Indian adolescents not eating & exercising right

In a report by NITI Aayog Indian adolescents have increased risk of diabetes, heart diseases because of the low levels of physical activity among teenagers. Half of 243 million Indian adolescents which suffers from obesity or are overweight, comes in the age group of 10-19 years. Over 80% of adolescents suffer from ‘hidden hunger'. The report also states adolescent girls especially suffer multiple nutritional deprivations adding that Anemia also affects 40% of adolescent girls, compared to 18% of boys, and worsens as they get old.
