If the govt wants they can release Farooq within an hour: Shashi Tharoor

Congress senior leader and MP Shashi Tharoor claim that the opposition did not get the opportunity to raise the issue of NC leader Farooq Abdullah's release from house arrest in the Parliament. Tharoor stated that if the government wants, they can release Farooq within an hour. Congress party requested the speaker to inform the government regarding the issue. West Bengal School will teach ‘a good touch and bad touch’ to students

The West Bengal government has initiated to include ‘good touch and bad touch’ courses in the school syllabus to make students aware of sexual harassment. It will be implemented from the next academic session. The project will cover more than 300 schools in Kolkata and the focus age-group would be four to 12 years. Reddy combats plastic waste in Telangana: Collect 1 kg plastic, get 1 kg rice in return

C Narayana Reddy, the District Collector of Mulugu in Telangana had initiated a campaign to make the district free of single-use plastic which started with school kids who wanted a cricket kit. They were asked to collect as many plastic bottles as they can and they collected 996 bottles in just an hour. Since then, the district has collected nearly 50,000 kg of plastic and seized over 600 kg of single-use plastic through 174 Gram Panchayats by giving 1 kg rice against 1 kg of plastic and it is then sent for recycling. UP Govt urges to change Agra name to Agravan

The Uttar Pradesh Government-led by CM Yogi Adityanath has urged to change the name of Agra to Agravan. The UP Government claimed that in history Agravan was the original name of the city. The state government has asked the history department of Ambedkar University in Agra to research the matter. The head of the history department has started their research. Earlier, the Yogi government had changed the name of city Allahabad to Pragyaraj, Faizabad to Ayodhya and Mughalsarai to Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Nagar. Src: https://bit.ly/3339C1G
