Man in Kolhapur beaten up for sneezing in public amid Coronavirus

In the Kolhapur district of Maharashtra, a man riding a motorbike was beaten up because he sneezed in public. Video of the incident was surfaced on social media. In the video, it showed bike-rider stopping and asking another rider on the road why he sneezed without covering his face with a handkerchief as it could cause the spread of the coronavirus. Centre launches WhatsApp Chatbot on Coronavirus, called MyGov Corona Helpdesk

In order to control the spread of fake messages and rumors about the Coronavirus, the government has launched an official chatbot on WhatsApp for any queries that people may have about the Coronavirus. Government regulatory agency National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority tweeted, "It is called MyGov Corona Helpdesk. Number of deaths from Coronavirus globally exceed to 10,000

According to Johns Hopkins University's tracker, the number of deaths due to Coronavirus has crossed 10,000 globally and the number of confirmed cases rising to over 2,44,500. Over 1,63,000 cases have been reported outside mainland China, which reported 39 new confirmed cases on Thursday. People chant ‘Long Live Nirbhaya’ outside Tihar Jail after convict’s execution

Hundreds of people were gathered outside Tihar Jail where Nirbhaya gang-rape and murders convicts were hanged. People were carrying the national flag and shouting slogans like 'long live Nirbhaya' and 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'. Some even distributed sweets outside Jail. Some held a poster that read, 'Nirbhaya has got justice. The other daughters still await'. Four convicts- Mukesh Singh, Pawan Gupta, Vinay Sharma, and Akshay Singh were hanged at 5:30 am.
