Student dies in Hong Kong protests, protesters call for a city-wide wake

Hong Kong protestors today have called for a city-wide candle-lit wake for an undergraduate student from HongKong University- Chow Tsz-Lok, who died early in the morning after he fell last weekend during anti-government demonstrations, marking the first student death in the clashes continuing for over months now. Students and young people have been at the front of the hundreds of thousands in the country who have taken to the streets since June to press for greater democracy and have been rallying against supposed Chinese interference in the Asian financial hub. BSNL contract labourer commits suicide over non-payment of 10 months salary

In the Malappuram district of Kerala, BSNL labourer identified as Ramakrishnan committed suicide at BSNL office because he had not received 10-month salary. Ramkrishna was working with BSNL for 30 years. As per media reports, member of the Casual Contract Labourers Union (CCLU) said that his contract period expired and the authorities were trying to dismiss him from the job, this might be the reason for him for him to commit suicide. Pune: Richa Chadha demands police action on CCTV found in Café's ladies toilet

Recently, in Pune’s Behive café, a CCTV was caught in ladies washroom, when some women went to complaint the management about it. Instead of taking any action the café management tried to bribe them. Responding to this incident, Bollywood actress Richa Chadha tweeted, “Behive, Hinjewadi was filming women in ladies toilet. This is a limit of perversion. They have to be brought to book”.
