Anti-CAA protesters welcome 2020 by singing the national anthem during protest in Delhi

Instead of attending New Year parties, thousands gathered on the New Year's Eve at Delhi's Shaheen Bagh to protest against the Citizenship Act. The protesters sang the national anthem as they welcomed the year 2020. Several waved national flags and displayed creative placards against the new law and chanted ‘Aazadi, Aazadi’. At 12 o’clock, the protesting crowd burst into a cheer to greet new year to fellow protesters, and moments later crowd sang the national anthem in unison which was followed by the slogan ‘Inquilab Zindabad’. Govt to create 1 lakh tonnes of onion buffer stock in 2020

Recently it was confirmed by the media reports that the government will create a buffer stock of 1 lakh tonnes of onions in 2020 in order to prevent the onion crisis. A senior government official had said that the government had created a buffer stock of as much as 56,000 tonnes for the current year but it wasn't sufficient hence the government was compelled to import through state-run MMTC. CAA will be implemented at any cost, says Union Minister G Kishan Reddy

Recently the Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy has presented his views over the implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act and said that the central government will go ahead with the implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) despite protests against it. While criticizing the Congress party for dividing people on the name of religion, He further said that CAA will be implemented at any cost as it is not against any Indian citizen. Indian-American citizens conduct a event at Times Square in support of CAA

Several Indian-American citizens came out in support of Citizenship Law. The members of the Indian diaspora gathered at New York’s Times Square with placards and were raising slogans in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.
