Nobel laureate Toni Morrison dies at the age of 88

Nobel laureate Toni Morrison, a pioneer of modern literature has died at age 88. Her imaginative power in “Beloved,” ‘‘Song of Solomon” highlighted the pursuit of racial freedom. Morrison’s family stated that she died after a brief illness. By her early 60s, after just six novels, she had become the first black woman to receive the Nobel literature prize. In 2012, Barack Obama awarded her a Presidential Medal of Freedom. Morrison helped raise American multiculturalism to the world stage and helped uncensor her country’s past. In her novels, black history played the principal role. Src:https://bbc.in/2KhtAPS

Earth’s toughest creatures, " Tardigrades" may now be living on Moon

Scientists have reported that there may be life on the Moon in the form of thousands of virtually indestructible creatures that can withstand extreme radiation, the coldest temperatures of the universe, and decades without food. These are microscopic organisms known as tardigrades, who have most probably reached the moon after a crash landing on the lunar surface by an Israel satellite in April. The tardigrades were stored inside a “Lunar Library,” a nanotechnology device that resembles a DVD. Src: https://bit.ly/2ZGfSLB
