Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, who signed an open letter that condemned the FIR against 49 celebrities who wrote an open letter to PM on mob lynching. The actor said he faced a lot of abuses and backlashing for calling out ‘political situation in the country’. Abuses that were hurled at him don’t affect him but what is more disturbing is the open hate, added Shah. Why there is no movie made on success story of a musician? A R Rahman questions at film festival

While attending the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) with the team of 99 Songs- a musical romantic film, A R Rahman questioned the portrayal of musician in Indian movies, he stated, "If you look at most of the iconic movies, they are all losers, like A Star Is Born, or they commit suicide. Inside Llewyn Davis, he gets thrown out by his sister. Why is that stigma, which is reflecting in the movies? Why can't we make something about a success story? Not just a success story, but also the internal war which a creative person faces,". He further added that there are social stigmas attached to musicians as they are always shown drunk and dead at the end. Amitabh Bachchan donates Rs 51 lakh to Bihar CM Relief Fund

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has donated Rs 51 lakh towards CM Relief Fund in the wake of severe floods in Bihar. Amitabh Bachchan wrote to CM Nitish Kumar, "Indeed I am deeply stricken by the natural calamity that has hit the state of Bihar. My deepest condolences and sympathies to all whose lives have been affected in the recent flood".
