SAFF U-15 Women's Championship: India defeats Nepal 4-1

In Bhutan's Thimphu city, India has defeated Nepal by 4-1 in their first match of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) U-15 Women's Championship 2019 at the Chalimithang Stadium. As per media reports, Sumati Kumari assisted Indian striker Lynda Kom Serto to score the second goal for India after Kumari scored the first goal by cutting through Nepal's defence. The report further added that Priyanka Sujeesh dashed Nepal's hope of a comeback with the fourth goal. Indian Boxer Jamuna Boro made it to quarter finals of World Women’s Boxing Championships

Indian Boxer Jamuna Boro whose representing India at World Women’s Boxing Championships is just one win away to be World Boxing Champion. Boro had made her debut with this year championship. Boro had defeated Algeria's 2017 African Championships gold medallist Ouidad Sfouh to reach the quarter-finals of 54kg boxing championship. She will now play her quarter-final clash on Thursday. Delhi Metro authorises e-scooters renting services at 4 stations

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has authorised e-scooters renting at four of its stations which are Vishwavidyalaya, Mandi House, Dwarka Sector 9, and Nehru Enclave. As per media reports, the DMRC has been taking various steps to strengthen last-mile connectivity. The reports added that the Delhi Metro has a provision for commuters to use bicycles for covering small distances at nominal charges at some of its metro stations, along with having a fleet of last-mile connectivity buses. Air India stake to be sold by Govt in a bid to privatize the company

The Government soon will invite bids for selling the entire stake in Air India. According to media reports, A finance ministry confirmed that the expression of interest(EOI) document will be put out anytime, before end of this month and the proposal needs clearance from a ministerial panel before it is made public. Air India is debt and has been surviving on a Rs 30,000- crore government bailout. Earlier selling a stake in March 2018 failed as investors were not comfortable with the government retaining a 24% stake in the airline as well as the requirement to stay invested for at least three years.
