North-east's wanted criminal gunned down in police shootout in Arunachal Pradesh

In a major success for Arunachal Pradesh police, one of the most wanted criminals identified as Tagyung Yangfo in the north-east region was killed in a shootout with police on yesterday morning. As per the media reports, the wanted criminal was accused of killing a deputy superintendent of police in 2016. The police conducted a raid after having an unknown tip at the Khamkhar Nala area of Dirang on Saturday morning. In a crossfire, the wanted criminal lost his life. Src: https://bit.ly/38jdDSu

Students protest against CAA, NRC, NPR at Wankhede stadium during India-Australia match

Over 25 students from various Mumbai colleges protested against the Citizenship act yesterday at the Wankhede Stadium during India-Australia ODI. While entering the stadium, the students had hidden their t-shirts displaying ‘No NRC, No NPR, No CAA’ messages under their shirts. Broadband & 2G partially restored in J&K after 6 months of shutdown

Officials reported that the Jammu and Kashmir administration on Tuesday evening allowed mobile internet and broadband in few parts of Jammu region specifically in hotels, travel establishments and hospitals. In a three-page order, the home department said additional 400 internet kiosks will be established in Kashmir division. To facilitate tourism, broadband internet would be provided to hotels and tour and travel establishments. The order also said that the 2G mobile connectivity on post-paid mobiles for accessing white-listed websites including e-banking will be allowed in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur and Reasi.
