Lost faith in the govt: Madras High Court after death of Chennai techie who died as banner fell on her

Following the death of Chennai techie Subhashree, who died after a banner of AIADMK fell on her, the Madras High Court expressed that they are tired of passing multiple order against the illegal flex boards. "There is zero respect for lives in this country. It's bureaucratic empathy", added the Court. The bench of Justices M Sathyanarayanan and N Seshasayee included that the officials who are sucking the blood of the people are more loyal to a party than to the govt. Subhashree, a 23-year-old woman, working in a software company was run by a water tanker as she fell on the road when an illegal hoarding put up by a ruling AIADMK functionary fell on her. SC asks govt to share its plan overt linking of social media with Aadhaar

The Supreme Court has asked the BJP govt about their plan to link Aadhaar with social media accounts. A bench headed by Justice Deepak Gupta has asked the center to inform if the government has any plans to frame a policy to regulate social media linking with Aadhaar by September 24. The top court order came after a plea was filed by petitioners from different high courts to link social media with Aadhaar for security reasons. Ex-IAF Officer Bijan Das commits suicide, helds P Chidambaram responsible for financial crisis in the Country

Bijan Das (55), A retired Indian Air Force officer who hails from Mangaldoi town in Assam has killed himself and blamed former finance minister P Chidambaram for the financial mess in the country as well as his own household. Media reports suggested that In a four-page suicide note which is addressed to PM Narendra Modi, Das has mentioned about the policies from former finance minister P Chidambaram, which has caused the current economic slowdown. Exclusion of 1.9 mn people from NRC list caused great uncertainty & anxiety, ensure people protected from statelessness: UN Human Rights to India

While addressing the 42nd conference of Human Rights Council meeting in Geneva, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet appealed India to ensure the protection of people from statelessness & prevent deportation, detention, who failed to get enlisted in National Register of Citizens. As many as 1.9 million people from Assam failed to make in the list and commenting on that, Bachelet said, ”it has caused great uncertainty and anxiety”. As many as. 3,30,27,661 people from Assam applied and out of them, 19,06,657 failed to be included in the list released on August 31.
