INR 183 lakh sanctioned for medical assistance in J&K

Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu of Jammu and Kashmir has approved INR 183.59 lakh as medical assistance for patients with chronic diseases and victims of road accidents and natural incidents. The 183.59 lakh medical assistance was sanctioned under the Cancer Treatment Management Fund For Poor (CTMFFP). He further sanctioned INR 22.63 lakh for people under the J&K Medical Aid Trust Scheme and allocated INR 37.58 lakh to the J&K Relief Fund. Src: https://bit.ly/2vKl7QD

USD 5 trillion economy by 2024 is wishful thinking: Manmohan Singh

At a book launch by Montek Singh Ahluwalia in Delhi, former PM Manmohan Singh said that today the Indian govt doesn't know there's a word called slowdown. If the govt is unable to understand what is happening so corrective action can not be taken. Singh further said the 5 trillion US dollar economy is wishful thinking. He further recalled the Indian economy's reform era and stated the reform period was a tortuous path. Centre is confused, has no clarity on Jammu and Kashmir: Iltija Mufti

Iltija Mufti, daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti, while speaking on the issue of foreign envoy's visit to J&K, stated first the Central govt said Kashmir is an internal problem and then they themselves bring envoys. But when other envoys want to visit then Centre says this is the country's internal issue. Iltija further said that she thinks the govt is very confused, they themselves have no clarity. Budget 2020: Jal Jeevan Mission launched with INR 3.6 lakh crore allocation

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday said that water and sanitation was a key focus area for the Government and was a pillar of Budget 2020 under the ‘Aspirational India’ theme. A ‘very focused’ safe water 'Jal Jeevan Mission' and sanitation program 'Swachh Bharat Yojna' has been launched to tackle health concerns and INR 3.6 lakh crore has been allocated to this program. 100 water-stressed districts would be identified and given due attention.
