All monuments, museums under ASI to remain closed till March 31: Prahlad Patel

Amid Coronavirus outbreak across the country, Union Tourism Minister Prahlad Patel, in an interview, stated that all the national monuments and museums under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will remain closed till March 31. Earlier, the Union Health Ministry had stated that a total of 114 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country so far including 13 cured and two reported deaths. Govt brings masks and hand sanitisers under Essential Commodities Act

Amid the coronavirus outbreak across the country and concerning the availability of masks and hand sanitisers, by amending the Schedule of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, the govt has notified an order to designate masks and hand sanitizers as essential commodities until June 30th, 2020. According to media reports, it has been noted that the masks and hand sanitisers are either not available with most vendors on the market, or are available at exorbitant prices with considerable difficulty. January 23 declared as public holiday in Jharkhand to mark Netaji’s birthday

Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has announced that January 23 will be a public holiday in the state to mark the 123rd birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Soren, on his Twitter handle, stated that the state has also been the 'karambhoomi' of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. His contribution in attaining independence for India can never be forgotten.
