Indian-American students protest against CAA, in front of Gandhi statue in Washington

Several Indian-American students were protesting against Citizenship Act and NRC in front of a Mahatma Gandhi outside an Indian Embassy in Washington. One of the students said that they are protesting for civil rights and religious freedom. They were chanting slogans in favor of India’s unity. Protesters requested the Indian Government to withdraw both CAA and the NRC. Apart from USA’s Washington, students of Chicago, and Canada's Toronto came in support to protest against CAA. Jamia submits report to HRD, requests inquiry against police

The Jamia Millia Islamia has submitted a report to HRD Ministry. The administration has requested judicial inquiry on the police’s action. In the report, they mentioned that police used teargas and lathi-charge to disperse protesters and entered the campus without the university authority's permission. The report also claimed that students have lost faith in law and order after one of the students lost his eyesight. Life Imprisonment for 2 Terrorist in Faizabad Court blast case

Recently 2 terrorists identified as Mohammad Tariq and Mohammad Akhtar, were given life imprisonment and fined INR 50,000 each by a special court for their involvement in the 2007 serial blasts in Faizabad, Lucknow and Varanasi. In addition to this, third accused, Sajjadur Rehman, has been not found guilty due to lack of evidence by the court. As per the Wikipedia sources, 15 people died whereas 67 people were severely injured in the 2007 Uttar Pradesh bombings. Do you think life imprisonment is enough for these terrorists? Protesters offer rose to police to tackle situation with peace

Residents of Jama Masjid were seen offering roses to police officers to convey the message that police and protesters can cooperate together with peace. On social media, several pictures surfaced of protesters offering rose to security personnel across the country. Yesterday, on social media a picture went viral of a law student of Jamia, offering a rose to police personnel.
