Assam: Over 600 villages affected by floods in Barpeta district

In Assam, in excess of 600 villages have been affected because of floods caused by heavy rainfall. The Indian Army had conducted a colossal scale of flood relief task in the affected regions of lower Assam. Undertakings are still conducted to give assistance to locals. The intense rainfall has caused serious floods in all the districts of the region, disturbing ordinary life. Kashmir problem will be solved, no power in the world can stop it: Rajnath Singh

Goa Tourism Development Corporation bans plastic in the State

Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) has pronounced the ban on plastic bottles, cups, and straws in the state. The GTDC has likewise prohibited the utilisation of plastic from its headquarters and its hotels across the state. Chairman of GTDC, Dayanand Sopte expressed that this decision will go far in contributing towards environment protection and in lessening plastic waste which has turned into a bane in the State.
