Nirbhaya rape case convict Vinay Sharma’s mercy rejected by President Kovind

President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday has rejected the mercy petition of Vinay Sharma, who is one of the convicts in the NIrbhaya rape case, 2012. Vinay had filed his mercy petition urging him to listen to his side of the story when nobody did. Vinay’s lawyer A P Singh said that the convict has started to feel that he has already died several times in prison. The court had said that according to Delhi Prison Rules, 2018 if an appeal and application is made by one convict then the execution sentence of all co-convicts will be postponed as well. Retired Indian Police Service officer and Puducherry Governor Kiran Bedi was recently trolled on social media for posting a video of on her Twitter with the caption "NASA Recorded Video of Sun Chanting Om". Later it was claimed that this video was posted by NASA in the year 2018, about "low, pulsing hum" coming out from the Sun. Pak claims the Nanakana Sahib Gurudwara is untouched, rejects reports of violence

Pakistan has rejected the reports of attacks and violence at the Nanakana Sahib Gurudwara by certain groups. The Foreign Office (FO) of Pakistan in its official statement said that the provincial authorities have informed that there was a dispute between two Muslim groups. After a little while, the District Administration intervened and the accused was arrested.
