Apple plans AR and VR gaming headset by 2022 and AR Glasses by 2023

Apple Inc. is working on a range of augmented and virtual-reality devices underpinned by a new 3D sensor system. The company aims to release a combined VR and AR headset focused on gaming, watching a video and virtual meeting, in 2021 or 2022. It also intends to release a lightweight pair of AR glasses in 2023. Augmented reality is a technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world, thus providing a composite view. Virtual reality is all-encompassing, gluing users to headsets, like the HTC Vive or Oculus Rift with high-resolution lenses used for gaming and video. Src: https://bit.ly/2K9oftu

Apple Card under investigation over supposed gender discrimination in credit limits

The New York Department of Financial Services has opened an investigation into allegations of gender discrimination by Apple Card in determining credit limits. A spokesperson of Apple has responded that the company takes credit decisions on the basis of a customer's creditworthiness and not on factors like gender, race, or any other basis prohibited by law. Entrepreneur David Heinemeier Hansson had tweeted alleging Apple Card to be a sexist program and said in his tweet that he and his wife filed joint tax returns after years of their marriage and yet his credit limit was supposedly higher by 20 times than his wife. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has estimated that the iPhone maker would sell at least 20 million SE 2 iPhone units in 2020, following the launch of the phone in the first half of the year. Kuo also predicted that the company would be able to sell up to 30 million iPhone SE 2 units due to its popularity. The iPhone SE 2 will use a 10-layer Substrate-like PCB (SLP) for its motherboard, the same technology used in the iPhone 11 version.
