Recently Game of Thrones, HBO fantasy epic has bagged as many as 10 awards at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards which is the most by any series in the year 2019. It won in categories including Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series and Outstanding Special Visual Effects. 'The Simpsons' won an award for Outstanding Animated Program. Jharkhand: PM Modi launches monthly pension schemes for marginalized farmers and others

Ahead of Jharkhand Assembly elections, PM Modi has launched government-funded projects & schemes in the state. Under the 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana', the farmers aged between 18-40 years after touching 60 years can avail Rs. 3,000 monthly. As many as 1,16,183 farmers have already registered. A similar scheme was also launched by Modi named 'Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyaparik Mandhan Yojana' and 'Swarojgar' scheme under which beneficiaries between 18-40 years can avail rs. 3,000 monthly after crossing 60 years of age. 462 Eklavya model residential schools across the country were also launched by PM Modi. Akhilesh Yadav slams Centre over hefty traffic fines

Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav slammed the Centre for imposing increased penalties under the Motor Vehicle Act 2019. Yadav on his Twitter handle stated, "The new rule of challans implemented by the BJP ruled state govt's are anti-people and oppressive. The BJP implemented this act only in those places where it can challenge the decisive leadership and can take strict action". Yadav added that it is a beginning among BJP leaders to oppose excessive centralisation. We are very close to restoring normalcy: Jammu and Kashmir DGP

Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh, while addressing a press conference, expressed, "We are very close to normalcy. If you take the entire region into account, all 10 districts of Jammu have become entirely normal, all school, colleges, and offices are open. Leh and Kargil are also normal, there is no restriction of any kind there". Singh further said that more than 90% areas are free of restrictions and 100% telephone exchanges are working now.
