Amazon needs to separate from the Amazon Marketplace says second employee

Paul Davis- the second employee to join Amazon said that Amazon needs to separate from the Amazon Marketplace which allows over 2.5 million third-party sellers to sell products. Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos had hired him as a computer programmer in 1994. Paul backed his statement by saying that the company that operates the marketplace is also a retailer. They have complete access to every single piece of data and can use that to shape their own retail marketplace. He left the company as he had no interest in playing a role in the growth of the company. Src: https://bit.ly/2EO1N6d
