IIT Bombay and TISS students protest against the violence on students of Jamia and AMU

After a massive clash between students of Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi, Aligarh University in Uttar Pradesh and the police forces, the students of Indian Institution of Technology (IIT) Bombay and students of Tata Institue of social science have come in support of students of Jamia and AMU. Jamia students call off lockdown against Citizenship law; university announces vacation

The students of Jamia Millia Islamia have been protesting against Citizenship Act from the last 2 days. Now, the students called their university lockdown. The university administration announced vacation till January 5 and have canceled their examination. Jamila administration claimed that those who were protesting were not the students of the university. Now, the University has formed a panel to conduct a peaceful protest against the Act. Delighted that LS passed Citizenship (Amendment) Bill after a rich debate: PM Modi

Recently the Indian PM Narendra Modi took his views to Twitter and said that he was delighted that the Lok Sabha passed the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 after an extensive debate. Narendra Modi said that he would like to especially applaud for the Home Minister, Amit Shah for lucidly explaining all aspects of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019. He also gave elaborate answers to the various points raised by respective MPs during the discussion in the Lok Sabha. The Bill was passed with 311 votes in favor and 80 against it.
