MBA student kidnapped, gang-raped by four men in Uttar Pradesh

In Bulandshahar district of Uttar Pradesh, four men allegedly abducted and gang-raped an MBS student from Meerut while she as on her way home from college. The victim's family members rushed to the police when the student didn't reach home until late. The police traced her mobile phone after filing the complaint from the girl's family and rescued her from the Siyana region in Bulandshahar. Later, the victim was admitted to a medical college in a critical condition. However, her condition is presently stable. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway. ESIC increases confinement expenses to INR 7,500 to pregnant women

At the corporation's (ESIC) 181st meeting under the chairmanship of Labour Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar, the ECI Corporation decided to increase containment expenses paid to pregnant women who are unable to take advantage of ESIC maternity services from INR 5,000 to INR 7,000. An official release stated that from the academic year 2020-21, the ESI Corporation has approved the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) operationalisation quota and admissions to ESIC Medical Institutions. Over 100 anti-CAA protestes detained in Chennai

Police have detained over 100 demonstrators in the Chennai city of Tamil Nadu after a scuffle with them during a demonstration at Washermanpet area against the CAA and NRC. During the rally, the demonstrators raised slogans against CAA and NRC. Later, the protesters proceeded to push against the police barricades which was followed by the scuffle.
