Won't let another 1984 happen, Delhi has seen enough tragedy: Delhi HC on riots

Speaking about the uncontrollable Delhi violence, the Delhi High Court today said that it cannot allow “another 1984” to happen in the country as the capital has seen enough anguish and tragedy. Referring to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, the court further said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia should visit affected areas for confidence-building among people. The court further said that helplines should be set up and private ambulances should be given safe passage and shelters for rehabilitation along with basic facilities should be set up for the victims who have been displaced. Locals fall ill after drinking milk adulterated with filthy pond water

Three persons have been arrested for allegedly adulterating milk with filthy pond water in North Kolkata's Chitpore area. As per the media reports, the incident come in lights after acting on allegations from locals that people were having stomach ailments after consuming milk, which was also emitting a foul smell, policemen in plainclothes shadowed the car of a prominent supplier in the area on Monday. Retired Army doctor who cut wife in 300 parts, put them in tiffin boxes gets life term

Recently a retired doctor of the Indian Army, Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Somnath Parida, who had murdered his 61-year-old wife, and chopped her body and packed them into tiffin boxes, an Odisha court sentenced him to life imprisonment on Tuesday. Parida had killed his wife Ushasree Samal with a steel torch in a fit of rage in June 2013. Then he had cut the body into 300 pieces and stashed them in small tiffin carriers. Nagpur man killed Dhaba owner for not giving him a blanket

In Nagpur district, a Dhaba employee named Kara Narayan Bawad allegedly killed owner Prakash Jaiswal for not giving him a blanket. The incident took place on Tuesday morning when the accused asked for the blanket and the victim refused to give it.Bawad hit Jaiswal on the head with a rod till other employees came to help the victim.
