Air India expected to report loss of Rs 7,635crore, Government To Go Ahead With Divestment

Debt-ridden national carrier Air India is expected to report a net loss of Rs 7,635crore during 2018-19 as per Provisional figures issued by the government. The reasons being attributed are higher exchange rate, rising oil prices and higher interest burden on the airline during the recently concluded fiscal. Air India had a net debt of Rs 58,351.93crore at the end of March 2019, increasing from about Rs 55,000 crore in FY18. Src- https://bit.ly/2YjHK7A

MSRDC to take action against Reliance Infra if Sea link milestone not achieved.

Reliance Group which is in huge debts has been recently warned by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation ( MSRDC). The department has said that the action will be taken if the Reliance Infra fails to complete the Rs 7000 cr Versova-Bandra sea link project. The Rating agencies have rated low points to Reliance as it is grappling with huge losses and debts. MSRDC is closely monitoring the project which is financed by the government, as an EPC contractor. Amit Shah Slams Congress: Will These People Teach Us Democracy?

With the budget session of the Parliament underway, Home Minister Amit Shah moved the amendment bill of Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act, 2004, in the Lok Sabha. However, Congress leaders alleged that the alliance of incompatible parties is responsible for the state of affairs where President Rule is being sought so frequently. To counter the charge, Amit Shah stated," They are saying we are trampling democracy in J&K. Up till now article 356 has been imposed(President's rule) 93 times by Congress. Fans denied the 3rd Umpire's decision for Rohit Sharma

During the 6th match of India against West Indies, Indian Right-handed opener Rohit Sharma was asked for caught behind. When the WI appealed for out, On-field umpire denied and said not out. But in the DRS, Ultra-edge found the ball was whispering the bat. On the contrary view from behind, it was found out that the Pad was hitting the ball and not the bat yet the Sharma was given out.
