Linking PAN Card and Aadhaar Card deadline got extended to December 31

The Ministry of Finance announced that they have extended the deadline to link Permanent Account Number (PAN) with Aadhaar to December 31 from September 30. The deadline was last extended on March 31. It is important to link both cards since the PAN card will become inoperative if it is not linked and other processes related to investments, tax filling and loans would be difficult. Maharashtra: Police seized demonetised currency worth Rs 1 crore; 3 arrested

Recently in Osmanpura district of Aurangabad, The Maharashtra Police arrested three persons for allegedly possessing demonetised currency worth Rs one crore. According to media reports, Rahul Khade, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), said, “On a tip-off, we caught the three accused at a police checkpoint. Center asks to clear overdue payments of PSUs by October 15 to boost economic growth

The government on Saturday set October 15 as the deadline for central Public Sector undertakings (PSUs) to clear overdue payments to vendors and contractors as it looks to lift economic growth from six-year low by boosting expenditure. According to media, Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said,” PSUs have been asked to detail lifespan of arbitrations that lock payments after disputes with vendors and contractor and firms have also been asked to submit spending plans for the next four quarters”.
