IIT Kanpur forms panel to find anti-Hindu nature of Faiz Ahmad’s poem- ‘Hum Dekhenge’

“Sab taaj uchale jaenge. Sab takht giraye jayenge. Bas naam rahega Allah ka. Hum dekhenge." These lines of the famous poem by Faiz Ahmad Faiz were chanted during the anti-CAA protests in IIT Kanpur. There have been allegations that this poem carries an anti-Hindu tone and the IIT Kanpur has decided to set up a panel to decide whether the allegations are true. Reacting on this, senior lyricist Javed Akhtar said that the poem was written by Faiz against the then ruler of Pakistan Zia-ul-Haq’s government which was a communal and regressive government. Anti-CAA resolution by Kerala Assembly is unconstitutional: Kerala Governor Arif Khan

The Governor of Kerala Arif Mohammad Khan showing solidarity to the Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad’s remarks against the anti-CAA resolution passed by the Kerala Assembly said that the anti-CAA resolution passed by the assembly was illegal and unconstitutional as the citizenship is totally a Union subject and the resolution has no validity. India records highest number of children born on 1st January: UNICEF data

According to the data revealed by the UNICEF, around 392,078 babies were born around the world on 1st January 2020. Out of this total 67,385 were born in India that is roughly 17% of the total babies born on the first day of 2020 and it was also the highest number of babies born globally on New Year’s Day. India was followed by China (46,299), Nigeria (26,039), Pakistan (16,787), Indonesia (13,020) and the United States of America (10,452) among others. Src: https://bit.ly/2SMbLxg
