India criticises Turkey for military action in Syria

India has slammed Turkey for its unilateral military offensive in northeastern Syria. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that Turkey's action can undermine stability in the region and the fight against terrorism. "We call upon Turkey to exercise restraint and respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria. We urge the peaceful settlement of all issues through dialogue and discussion", MEA added. This comes after Turkish jets and artillery targeted Kurdish-controlled areas in Syria, focusing thousands of civilians to flee their homes. Src: https://bit.ly/2p6FW5q
