UN Chief rejects to intervene on Kashmir issue between India & Pak

After India and Pakistan represented themselves at 42nd session of United Nations Human Rights Council conference in Geneva, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his concern over potential escalation of tensions between India and Pak over Kashmir issue and appealed both the Nation to resolve through peaceful dialogue. When asked about UN's stands to mediate Kashmir, UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said, “You know, the position… our position on mediation has, as a matter of principle, has always remained the same”. Finance Minister's "Ola, Uber" remark ‘Misinterpreted’: Nitin Gadkari

Minister of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) Nitin Gadkari, while speaking at the launch of BS6 compliant Honda Activa 125 scooter, expressed that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's statement on the slowdown in the auto sector contributed by Ola and Uber was misinterpreted. “There were many reasons for the slowdown”, Gadkari said. He further said, "I have discussed with the Finance Minister and the FM will decide in consultation with state govt. The ball is in the court of Finance Ministry as far as GST rate cut decision is concerned". Gadkari added that leadership from manufacturers and support of govt will help overcome all problems in the auto industry. Indian students will be allowed to stay in UK for two years after graduation

United Kingdom (UK) PM Boris Johnson has announced the two-year post-study work visa for international students in a move that will impact thousands of Indian students. As per media reports, the new immigration route announced will help Indian graduates in any subject to stay in the UK for two years to find work after completion of graduation. Presently, most international students studying bachelor's and master's degrees can stay and work for only four-month and those at 27 universities on a pilot scheme get six months. Founder and chairperson of the National Indian Students & Alumni Union UK (NISAU) Sanam Arora, expressed, "We are absolutely delightful the two-year post-study work visa has been reinstated. 2,700 gifts received by Modi to be auctioned from Sept 14

The Culture Minister Prahlad Patel has informed media that over 2,700 gifts received by PM Modi will soon be available in the auction online starting from September 14. The prices of the gifts start from Rs 200 to Rs. 2.5 lakh. Earlier in January, fortnight auction was organized in which over 1,800 gifts were sold and the money generated was transferred to Project Namami Ganga, an initiative to clean Ganga river.
