Assam villagers donate 80,000 cash and 450 quintals paddy to AASU to fight over CAA

In the Dibrugarh district of Assam, 85 villagers have donated 80,000 cash and 45,000 kgs paddy to All Assam Students Union (AASU). The move is to help them in the fund on its legal fight against the Citizenship Amendment Act. During the anti-CAA program, the farmers handed over cash and paddy to AASU general secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi. We can experiment on selective basis, says Uddhav Thackeray on 24x7 nightlife project

While speaking at an event, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray expressed his views on the 24x7 nightlife project in Mumbai. He said that it would not be advisable to implement the nightlife proposal across the state and since each city has an independent culture and he thinks that he can experiment it in Mumbai on a selective basis. JNUSU moves Delhi High Court against new Hostel Manual fee

The JNU Student Union (JNUSU) have moved Delhi High Court against the Inter Hostel Administration (IHA). The petition was filed by JNUSU President Aishe Ghosh and other members challenged the minutes of the IHA on October 28, 2019. The petition reads "The decisions to bring about amendments in the Hostel Manual are contrary to provisions of the JNU Act, 1966, Statutes, Ordinances and the Hostel Manual. The amendments include reducing JNUSU representation in IHA, increased rates as applicable to hostel residents and also brought amendments to clauses of the Hostel Manual adversely affecting reserved category students in the University” Src: https://bit.ly/2sGbEbE

Arvind Kejriwal files nomination for Delhi polls after waiting for 6 hours

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, who was supposed to file the nomination yesterday has filed his nomination today for the Delhi Assembly election. The CM waited for 6 hours outside the election office because several independent candidates were waiting ahead of him in the office. Over 100 candidates showed up to file their nomination on the last day. Kejriwal shared his experience on Twitter and said that he was glad to see so many people participating in democracy.
